The CX5 is the two-seater tandem developed from the CX4 design. Dave designed it as a tricycle gear nose-dragger to facilitate the majority of builders who don’t fly taildragger aircraft.

Load testing up to 5.7G was completed on the CX5 before it was allowed to fly.
